Destiny räumt vier Titel bei der Gaming – Oskar Verleihung ab

Die D.I.C.E Awards kann man am besten mit dem Oskar der Gaming Branche vergleichen.
Die D.I.C.E. Awards (von 1998 bis 2012: Interactive Achievement Awards) sind eine Auszeichnung der Computerspielbranche. Sie werden gemeinsam mit der Nominierung für die AIAS Hall of Fame seit 1998 von der Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) für die besten Computerspiele verliehen. Die Preisvergabe findet seit 2002 im Rahmen der Fachtagung D.I.C.E. Summit (Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain) statt – so auch am vergangenem Wochenende. Hier konnte Bungie mit Destiny weitere vier Titel erobern Die Fachjury hatte dieses Jahr aus über 56 nominierten Titeln Sieger in 23 unterschiedlichen Kategorien zu küren. Die Abräumer waren:

Im Rahmen der Vergabe der D.I.C.E. Awards versicherte ein Sprecher von Bungie zudem weiterhin an der Verbesserung des Titels zu arbeiten.

„Wir beobachten und lernen, wir reagieren tagtäglich“ … „Wir haben das Spiel veröffentlicht und gehofft, dass es den Leuten gefällt. Jetzt beobachten wir alles und schauen uns an, was funktioniert und was nicht – und versuchen Anpassungen vorzunehmen. Für uns ist das eine Passion.“

In diesem Zusammenhang veröffentlichte das Entwicklerstudio gleichzeitig auch noch Nutzerzahlen, die die Daseinsberechtigung Destiny’s untermauern. Mit rund 16 Millionen registrierten Nutzern, die im Durchschnitt rund drei Stunden pro Tag spielen, fühlt sich Bungie mit der Marke Destiny bestätigt.

Dass diese Zahlen der treuen Fanbasis Bungies zu verdanken sind, ist sich das Studio bewusst. Aus diesem Grund versuche man weiterhin gemeinsam mit der Community an der Verbesserung des Spiels zu arbeiten.

„Wir hatten immer eine der besseren Communities in der Industrie. Der Beleg dafür ist die Tatsache, dass sie unser Spiel weiterhin spielen, an uns glauben und wissen, dass wir an den Macken arbeiten werden.“

Wir sind gespannt ob Bungie mit der Erweiterung „Haus der Wölfe“ im 2. Quartal 2015 den Wünschen der Community gerecht werden kann. Im Herbst 2015 steht dann eine größere Erweiterung an.
